Scandinavian Modern

This home got a modern facelift, taking advantage of the unique architecture and the incredible views.  The main priority was to open up the old, dated kitchen to the living/dining/entryway, so walls had to come down!  The new kitchen is in natural maple, a perfect fit for the home and site, but the white quartz counters and sink give a sleek, clean touch.  The new peninsula created a great eat-in area and the whole kitchen now has improved sight lines to the rest of the house.  Storage was improved with the custom appliance garages and built-in pantries.  The main feature, however, is the blue glass tile backsplash.  This fun pop of color brings so much personality to the space, and is just the right amount of modern whimsy to anchor the kitchen.
